Today was my last post for The Crafter’s Workshop design team. It has been a fun two years and I have learned so much from the other design team members. As a way to reflect back on my time with the design team and look forward to what my future holds, I created a vision board in my art journal. I videoed the process so that you could follow along with me…The Crafter’s Workshop provided me with some product to create this project. This post also contains affiliate links. The opinions I share are solely my own.
I used my cardboard junk journal to work in, along with stencils, acrylic paint, paint markers and found words from magazines.
The Crafter’s Workshop heavy body acrylics, a little water and a paint brush gave the page these wonderful color grids.
I ended up stenciling on the face twice. Once for placement and again after I had used gesso to push back the background color to allow the face to stand out more.
Inktense pencils added some pretty color to the face and a bit of doodling added more texture to her hair. Then all the words for my vision board were added with a glue stick. I keep a small tray of words and phrases cut out from magazines by my art table. Looking through them always gives me ideas to work off of. This time the words were a way to process the changes happening around me!
